There are many androids built for other tasks, however. If you can think of a job, there's probably an android designed to do it.

[ Well, honestly it's really in the middle of an apocalypse, which turns out to be an actual protocol that has to be initiated by someone with power over the universe. Except that's not really the kind of thing you bring up right after sex. ]
There's only humans- Even if they're different, with unique skills or features, they're still human. Not everyone's got magic, either. Some people have to use mundane technology, but enough of us are skilled and used magic to develop skyline buildings, ships that can carry a bunch of people through the sky at really good speeds and trade routes with chilled boxes to keep goods fresh. So our magical tools are more advanced than this world's.
[ Yes, more advanced for his world's magical airplanes, refrigerators, and skyscrapers... He should've led in with the commercial teleportation. ]
