[Connor eyes Niles as though trying to tell if he’s being genuine or not, before nodding slowly.]

Fine. I accept your apology this time, but this had better not happen again.

[Seeing Connor's suspicion, Niles puts a hand over his heart.]

Any further exploration of your body I do will be strictly on your request.

You’re assuming you’re going to get to explore my body now?

[Connor says it dryly, but at least doesn’t seem as angry anymore.]

...Fine. If it’ll keep you from doing this again, you can have a better look. Just... not right now.

[He needs to stop bleeding right now.]

[He tsks in mild annoyance, and gets up, padding over to a backpack of sorts. There's a first aid kit in there. All of it made for human flesh obviously, but there seemed to be at least a little overlap between Connor's mechanisms and human biology. He walks back over and returns to his sitting pose, opening the kit and offering Connor his pick of the bandages, disinfectant wipes, cotton pads, and other supplies inside.]

I meant it more as an open offer. On your terms. Some of the things I said about pain were...sincere, if somewhat deranged. I'm offering to help you test the limits of your senses.

...Some other time, of course.

[The limits of his senses? Is Niles offering to try to cause him pain? Either way he removes the bloodied rag from his shoulder and grabs some cotton balls, stuffing them into the wound to block it up for now. He takes a wipe too, just to clean up his chest where the Thirium is starting to dry.]

If you’re offering to tear me open again, I’m gonna have to pass. It won’t cause me pain no matter how hard you try. You can get a better look, but you have to promise to keep your claws to yourself.

[He shrugs, then picks up the bandaging, unspooling some. Wound now packed with cotton, he'll wrap the area if Connor lets him.]

Your loss. But yes, I agree.

[Connor shrugs off his shirt partway so Niles can get to the wound easier. It’s in an awkward place but it’s probably still best to wrap it up.]

Well... I’ll need to recover from this first. I’ll let you know when I’m healed.

[It will take a few days of magic to fix the plastic for sure.]

[His voice is sincere, but there's a not so subtle curiosity burning in his eye as he helps patch up the damage he caused.]

[Connor notes the curiosity, but all he offers instead is-]

By the way, Justine is waiting for you downstairs.

[Casual, as he makes sure the bandages are firmly in place.]

[Niles eye goes a little wide, and he swivels towards a window. His body goes low and he creeps towards it, slowly raising his head to peek above the sill.

Yup. There she is. Definitely pissed.

He ducks backwards and away from the window like a sniper who realizes his position has been compromised.]

If I take you down there is she liable to murder me on the spot?

She might. I can ask her not to, though.

[Niles is going to bring me down there. Please don't kill him. He was feral, but he's okay now.]
