[Her lips shape into a warm smile as he pulls back from the edge of the pool.

Justine places her basket of treats and to-do's on the ground where it likely won't get wet and begins to strip out of her corset and skirts. The lacing is easy to loosen and within a few minutes she's bare and sinking into the cool pool water. She'd planed for it and had a rock with her that had a rune of heat inscribed onto it. It's the best she can manage given that novice witches lose a great deal of their magic during the full moon.]

You're very good at that.

[Justine slowly wades closer to him, the warm rock clenched between her palms.]

I'm glad you like them. I don't think their worth much but I found them at a shop filled with all sorts of odd things. I can take you there some time. I think you'll like it. [Her voice shivers a little as she very slowly gets used to the water temperatures.]

[He stops playing with the coin and instead pulls Justine close as she swims over, doing his best to help warm her up.]

I'd like to see it, yes.

[He bets he could find a lot of nice things for his collection.]

I've found that things don't have to be particularly valuable for me to be drawn to them.

[Justine curls herself against him, stealing what heat she can while the cool touch of his scales against her bare skin sends a shiver of pleasure down her spine.] I'll show you after the full moon passes.

When you're feeling up to it. [She imagines that the transformation and urges are exhausting.] There are many lovely things there.

When I found these coins. I thought you'd like them.

How are you doing with the changes? Do you feel alright?

[She looks up at him, resting her head on his shoulder as her legs float beneath the water.]

[Not as exhausting as they might have been if he were human, at least. Androids don't get tired.]

I feel fine. I wish I could see better above the water, but at least my eyes are only like this during the full moons.

[He trails a claw down her back, looking down at her fondly.]

I can see you when you're this close, though.

[Justine shivers at Connor's touch while a warm smile spreads across her lips. This isn't her first instance with the gentle touch of a claw but there is something about the way that Connor moves that gently wraps Justine in a blanket of warmth. He might be a robot but he is one of a kind in every way.]

Oh? Then I'll stay close to you.

I wish I could see under water. [Maybe she can think of a spell for the next full moon. Justine has no plans to leave Connor's side any time soon and it'd be nice to swim with him. Hopefully there won't be an induced winter and the water can be a touch warmer.]

I'm glad that you're doing well. I always wish I could do more. [More so since he fight with Harry.] Do you want to play with the coins?

I wish you could see underwater, too.

[Connor leans in to kiss her briefly, just because he can, before letting go of her in order to dive down for a couple of coins. He's quick thanks to his powerful tail, and he comes back up with three coins and starts juggling them with a smile. His fangs glint in the moonlight, but his expression is playful.]

Like this?

[He would like to take her mind off her fight, but he can't do much like this.]

[Justine returns his kiss and them smiles as he disappears from the surface of the water. Her balance wavers as he dives down but she floats the way that Paris had taught her and is able to keep her head above the water.]

I am really glad that you like them. I could try and throw them further.

[Though she'll have to start moving around in the water or risk hypothermia with the air temperatures as low as they are.]

[He's quick to keep close to her, both to keep her floating and to keep her warm. The pool is very deep, but he has an idea. He concentrates, and the water beneath Justine's feet hardens to the point she can stand on it. He can't do anything to change the temperature of it, but it's already warmed by the heated rocks at the bottom. As long as Justine stays submerged, she'll be warm.]

You want to play fetch with me?

[He teases her, but his expression is fond.]

[Her feet touch the suddenly solid surface and she gasps in soft surprise as she looks down at her little perch. It's... perfect.]

Ah. Yes. If you'd like.

My magic isn't very strong but I bet I can make them hard to catch.

I bet I can catch them anyway.

[He swims back a little, giving Justine a playful smile, all sharp teeth.]

I'm faster than I look.

[Justine laughs softly.]

Is that so? Let's put that to the test.

[She closes her eyes and focuses on the coin in her hand. When she dips it into the water the coin looks as if it'd grown a tail and is swimming around like a fish. A rush of dizziness rushes over Justine and she nearly passes out before catching herself. Magic is harder for her on the full moons.]

[Connor is fast, but it's Justine he rushes to, not the coin. He looks concerned, holding her steady.]

Maybe we should do something that doesn't require magic?

[Her palms lightly rest on his shoulders as a light smile curves her lips.]

Maybe. I should have enchanted them ahead of time.
