[ lucio agrees that this is most exciting. as a matter of fact, he lives to party! ]
great idea! check them all out and scope out what's good, we're bound to find something. i'll wait for you at the park by the fountain. charming blond, impeccably built, perfect brows and sharp eyeliner. golden arm. you can't miss me!
[Golden arm? Well, he can question him about that when he meets him.]
Got it. I'll be there shortly.
[He didn't have any plans, so he supposes this is what he's doing now. Heading towards the fountain, Connor spots Lucio and approaches, giving him a smile.]
[ he grins as connor finally arrives and lucio is pleased he really didn't have to wait too long. it would have been better if he hadn't had to wait at all, but it's fine.
he reaches out with his right arm - the not metal one - for a proper handshake. ]
I'm Count Lucio of Vesuvia.
[ introducing himself is something he's not used to and it's very irritating but nobody around here seems to have any idea. it's not their fault they're all idiots. lucio has learned it's just easier to cut straight to the introductions and get that out of the way. ]
[He doesn't know how it feels to be ready to party, but he supposes this is it? He hopes Lucio doesn't plan on drinking too much, though.]
I've already taken the liberty of scanning the network for parties currently ongoing. There's a disco themed night, a rave, and a few other clubs- one with live music. Which would you prefer?
[ ohhh boy connor, you are in for disappointment if you don't expect lucio to head straight for an abundance of alcohol. lucio, on the other hand, is impressed with connor. ]
You know where they're all at?! [ i mean, you'd have to be really in the know and have some good connections to have a party line up like that. ] Though I'm inclined to start at the disco and perhaps head to the rave later if that strikes a fancy at some point. How's that sound to you?
[Rich hasn't been home for a few days. And Connor is starting to get concerned. He wanted to give Rich the benefit of the doubt, and assume he'd just decided to move out, but his guitar is still here.
So he texts him, finally, when the month seemingly rolls over with still no word.]
[Rich honestly had expected that Connor would have seen the post on the network. He probably should have made an effort to stop by his hotel room, but... things were complicated. From what he understood, the SQUIP had a connection with Connor. They understood each other, more than they could understand humans.
If Connor had seen the network post and hadn't gotten in touch with Rich... perhaps that was an indication of how important that connection was over the connection with Rich. He couldn't blame Connor for that. Instead, he just avoided his hotel room, staying in limbo, not really a resident anywhere, while he tried to figure out what people thought of him.
The message certainly puts a twist on all his thoughts of self-hatred and scorn, and he's left looking at the text in obvious confusion. After a few minutes of staring, though, he does respond.]
im sorry i worried you i'm okay i'm just recovering at a friend's house i'm guessing you didnt see the network? my squip is off or out of my body at least
[He gives himself a moment to process how he feels about the SQUIP's deactivation. Ultimately, he thinks he's just happy for Rich.]
I'm glad you could free yourself. Something seemed very wrong, and it was only when I saw how you looked at the wall of graffiti that I realised as much. I'd seen that look before, in someone else who wanted to be free.
[Connor had taken the wrong side, then. That android had died.]
I was kinda worried youd be mad at me i thought youd want to stick together with your kind so i didnt know how to talk to you im sorry
[And he genuinely is. He shouldn't have judged Connor so harshly, just because the SQUIP seemed to like him more. Just because he was scared of being hurt again.]
are you sure youre feeling okay? i know it tried to hack into you when we first met so i dont know if anything it did could stick
If it wasn't such an asshole, I'm quite sure we would have been good friends. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. But you know, my first friend was a human.
[So really, he's fine with humans.]
I feel fine right now. Mostly, it seems like all it did was try to make me like the both of you more.
god this sounds like some future kind of racism "no i love humans! my first friend was a human!" stupid how history repeats itself
im sorry she made you like me though if you need space away from me after that i understand you should probably figure out how you actually feel about me n your own

i hate the diner!
[ ... a long pause. literally anywhere else, lucio will be fine. he had a bad run in with the waitress when he went to the diner, you see. ]
but we could go to a party. are there any parties happening right now?!

[Exciting! Well, he thinks so, anyway.]
Where would you like to meet? We can look in the various clubs for something exciting.

An impressive name. Mine is Connor.
[Yep, just Connor.]
You wanted to look for a party, correct?

[ it's very kind of you to acknowledge his impressiveness, indeed. ]
And yes I'm very much ready to party if you are?
