[He smiles again, fond, and gets up to rummage in the cupboards. He finds a large glass, fills it with water, and comes back to set it in front of Kate.]
If that stuff works like normal alcohol, this should help. Do you need to sleep it off?
[Another laugh, maybe a bit louder than it should be, but Connor is so earnest in what he does. It's nice. Touching, and she appreciates it.]
I honestly ain't got a clue. To either of those. Didn't have water in the Entity's realm since we didn't need to eat. Didn't need to sleep either. [She drums her fingers against the table, and washes down the lingering taste in her mouth with the water readily.]
Somethin' that's seemed to follow me here, quite frankly.
Have you tried sleeping at all? You can eat despite not needing to. Maybe some sleep would do you some good, even if you don't need it.
Of course, if you don't want to, we could always go for a walk. Some fresh air might help you. And if that fails... I've found that an ice cold shower helps sober people up.
[Said like someone who happens to know this for a fact.]
[He hovers next to Kate incase she decides to get up for that walk, though he doesn't know if she can walk too far right now.]
Let's just say that when you find your partner passed out on the floor drunk, and you need him to investigate a homicide with you, a cold shower works wonders.
Ah, so that's what you do. Or did, I suppose. I was never quite sure, but I guess that makes sense enough.
[Kate isn't going much of anywhere. And even if she was, she's fairly certain she can still make it on her own. But maybe that's drunk her thinking. Still, she knows better than to go on a long walk lest she end up waking up shivering in the cold once the warmth from the drink wears off.]
Glad to hear it. My friend will be pleased to know that information.
[She rolls with it, sits a bit more upright when she hears it. It's not that she wouldn't sober, but Kate would like to think she's a bit more classy than that.
Though, she did just pound back more than a few shots of otherworldly liqor, so who knows at this point. ]
[Connor keeps his eyes on Kate, wondering if now would be a good time to ask for another date or if he should wait. Since... well, he probably isn't especially attractive right now, and people don't want to go on dates with people they find unattractive. He thinks.]
When would your friend want to test this out?
[He takes to propping his chin up on his hand, elbow on the table.]
Friend thinks that you deserve more than a drunken kiss. Not only that, not sure if I'd be able to stop myself at just that like this, and I ain't wanna do anything like that without thought.
[She huffs a laugh, switching from calling herself her friend, to full on admitting its her as her fingers continue to rhythmically drum against the table.]
Damn. [Kate whistles low, and her expression shifts a little.] Guess that means no takin' you for a rodeo ride. [It's no fun if the dance isn't for two!
Kate will just have to suck up her inebriated lust. That's fine, it'll pass. Has before and it will again.]
[That sounds fun, and now he's annoyed that he can't actually do it.]
Do you think I could change that here?
[His brows furrow as he thinks on it. How do you even go about asking for that? And is it even possible? It just seems like a shame to not get the full experience when he's with someone...]
[That is true, and he's actually starting to seriously wonder if he should ask. Not specifically to sleep with Kate, that would be putting a lot of pressure on her to reciprocate while sober and he doesn't want to do that. But if he ever does get close to someone... he wants the option, at the very least.]
I kind of wanted a goose after seeing that one wandering around, too.
[Luckily for Kate, his mind is wandering more towards what is and isn't possible rather than being entirely dick-focused.]
A goose, huh? [Connor walking around with a goose companion... cute, honestly.]
There's plenty o'things I want, hun. But I ain't stupid enough to try and ask for people, and I've got my guitar and from there that's all I need.
Maybe I'll ask for a horse one of these days, been awhile since I went ridin', and if everyone else is hellbent on bringin' animals, maybe I should get one too.
I think asking for animals here is natural. People want company... someone or something they can feel close to. We're still only just getting to know each other here, so I'm not surprised if people are getting lonely.

[It'd be rude, so long as she still has company.]
I am curious as to how you know about cold showers soberin' people when you can't even get wasted.

I'm a prototype designed to assist law enforcement, yes. That's why I have the ability to analyse things in real time using my tongue.
[He's a mobile forensics lab. And his habit of licking things isn't likely to slow down any time soon.]
no subject
[But now everything makes even more sense now that she has all the picture. Of course, Kate's mouth moves faster than her brain at her next words:]
But can you analyze whether or not someone is a good kisser? Askin' for a friend.
no subject
[The question makes him pause for a second, before he smiles slightly.]
I think I can, yes. Tell your friend I'd be happy to try.
[He knows what she means, for once not taking it literally.]

Ace might be pissed, though.

Kate drums her fingers against the table, watching him very carefully. ]
Normally immediately, but she seems to be a little... inebriated at the moment, and might not be making good decisions.
no subject
[He offers a cheeky sort of smile.]
Well, I can be patient. So tell your friend she doesn't need to rush into anything.
[He just hopes she doesn't change her mind completely when she's sober... but if she does, well, not much he can do about it.]
no subject
[She huffs a laugh, switching from calling herself her friend, to full on admitting its her as her fingers continue to rhythmically drum against the table.]
You do make a very convincing point, though.
no subject
To be honest... I wasn't built with that in mind anyway, if you get my meaning.
[Does he actually need to ask Admin where a guy can get a dick? Seriously. On the bright side, hands and mouths work wonders.]
That's not to say I can't enjoy a kiss, though.

Sure, there's people we might miss, but that ain't mean we gotta stop makin' friends, y'know?
no subject
[Though he's had more time to settle in here, admittedly.]
It's nice... if we ever go back home and remember all of this, I think I'll miss it. The friends, at least.
