[What the hell has Connor done to this guy? He huffs at the question. With Falco... he doesn't have an excuse outside of dying. He was going to contact someone, and then just... didn't. And then this time, he had a bombshell dropped on him the day after contacting Admin. And then the flood hit the day after that. Yeah, he didn't have much of a chance to do anything there.]
I intended to, but things haven't been entirely in my control lately.
[It feels like an excuse. It is an excuse. But he has nothing else.]
[Yeah, he knows fully well it's an excuse. Again and again, he's heard things the Connors have been getting up to. Jun wasn't a gentle person to begin with - Father Abel was much suited for that. And after hearing as much as he has? Well, he's not feeling compelled to even attempt at a gentle hand]
Then to make matters worse, you and the other Connor drag others into your problems. Which your actions? Can make the Silence worse...it could even endanger the whole island, if you keep it up.
So what are you going to do? Did you come here just to lecture me?
[If that's the case, Connor is going back inside, thanks. He's not standing out here and listening to all the reasons he's causing trouble for the island, because that will probably make him mad and he doesn't want to risk it.
He stays still for now, at least. But he's definitely thinking about just locking this guy out here and going back to cooking something with Falco.]
Yeah, he recognizes that tone. Connor is just not listening is he? Oh well. Orden will lift two fingers. There's a glow of magic, and a glowing glyph appears beneath Connor's feet. He'll suddenly feel like there's a great weight on him, making him unable to move his legs.]
Stay.
[ Yeah. He's not going anywhere until Orden says so. ]
[The more immediate response to not being able to move is panic. His LED flicks to red, and he struggles against the magic.]
Let me go!
[He doesn't have anything to defend himself with. No gun, no knife, only his fists, and he can't punch magic. His eyes are wide, and he's getting stressed, but the infection remains contained for now.]
What are you going to do?
[He's not afraid that it'll hurt, because he isn't supposed to feel pain. But he is scared he'll lose himself in the process, even if only briefly.]
[Orden doesn't answer. He instead focuses in on the mark, raising his other hand to draw a 6-pointed star glyph in the air. The area around the mark will glow and start to feel numb if Connor can feel it. Almost like getting anesthesia at the hospital.
As he does so? Any of the influence the curse has been having on his mind will start to fade away as it gets sealed up.]
[Numbness is odd, but not unpleasant. It's not as bad as Connor expected, and he feels it as his stress levels actually start to decrease. The curse is receding, his mind is becoming more like his own again.
Hopefully that's as bad as this will get, because this? He can deal with this.]
[It's as bad as the seal will get! He takes a few moments more to adjust and finalize the seal, before it's set enough for him to lower that hand. Though the magic that's holding his legs are in place, cause Orden's not done yet]
It's done.
[...]
The Seal's power comes from God. It'll hold and protect you from the Silence's evil as long as you adhere to your better angels. Work on being a better man, be kind to others, accept responsibilities for your actions, and make moral choices. I don't expect it to master this overnight with how new you are to emotions... but that is the duty of all given the gift of free will. You are no exception.
[Connor's origins may be different than humans, but the ability to feel and act on his own was proof enough for Jun. He was one of God's children. ]
If you fail to do so, if you fail to uphold that duty and continue living sinfully enough that the seal breaks ... I will dismantle and bury you myself, if that's what must be done. The power I display now is only a fraction of what God has given me, so know I am capable.
Do you understand?
[And if his tone says anything- it's that he 100% means it. ]
[Connor wants to protest. He is kind to others. Just because he made one immoral decision to protect people, does that make him a bad person?]
I'm not a bad person.
[And Orden isn't the first person to threaten Connor with that fate. Zolta said the same.]
I don't understand why when I bury someone to protect others it's wrong, but when everyone else does it they're doing it "for God" or "for the island". Connor was torturing other people to get to me. I had to act, and death wasn't sticking.
[Had he? A little. But like he's admitting that much.]
I did what I had to.
[He says it again, trying to get free now. But it's not working.]
Let me go. You've done what you came to do, and I'm not in the mood to get lectured by someone who thinks he can do the exact same thing as I did, but get away with it because he thinks he's more mature.
[It's hypocrisy. He's not going to just listen to that and nod meekly.]
...I never said I was a good person. I said I wasn't a bad one.
[He's gotten thousands of androids killed. He's killed humans for getting in his way. How are you a good person? He... isn't. But he tries to help people when needed. He tries to be kind. Not because he thinks some God is watching over him, but because that seems like the right thing to do.]
And I stand by that belief. You can keep me here as long as you want, but my answer isn't changing.
I didn't mean to get him hurt! I'd never hurt him on purpose!
[Yes, there's remorse there. So much of it that he spent over a week away from home, frightened of hurting him again. But Falco had talked to him, and they were okay again now. So why is Orden bringing it up?]
You weren't even there, you have nothing to do with it!
Ah, so you do have something of a conscience. Good. I was starting to wonder...
[He puts his hand on his waist]
...Just try to be a better person, Connor. Learn from your friends...from Falco, from Hank. Try to learn new things and see the world outside your own view. You've been given a wonderful gift, being able to feel like you do.
I don't want to dismantle you. I know it's wrong. It's wrong in ways you don't even understand yet. I truly pray it'll never come to that. That's why I'm giving you another chance now.
[He lowers his gaze. A wonderful gift... it doesn't feel like a wonderful gift right now. All he's done for the past two weeks is mope around. But he fought for this, didn't he? He thought it was what he wanted. To feel. To make his own decisions.
Things had been easier as a machine. But he doesn't intend to back out now. He isn't even sure he can. So he just nods.]
I'll try.
[He still doesn't think it's fair. He didn't ask for the other Connor to come after him. But he has no choice but to agree here, or else he'll be here for a while.]
[Finally. Orden isn't sure if he means it, or if he's just saying it to get out of this...but honestly, it doesn't matter. He said what he needed to say. Maybe he could've been more gentle ... but eh, that isn't him.]
Thank you. [It sounds sincere, or at least as sincere as a distorted voice can sound. The glyph will disappear, allowing Connor to move once more. ]
Take care, Connor. God be with you.
[Orden isn't sticking around however - he knows not to overstay his welcome. He had a mission, and it's been completed. He raises that hand once more, and there's a glow of magic before he teleports away.]

Me? Ideally, for you to stop being a pain in the ass that keeps making my job harder.
[BLUNT.]
But to start with...Why didn't you contact me when you or Falco got infected like the Admin told you to?
[Because oh yeah, he hasn't forgotten that factoid. Connor's spoken to him before, he should've known he was someone to contact.]

First, I'm going to seal that infection mark.

Just a seal like Falco's for tonight. Hold out your marked arm. [Connor will be able to move THAT at least] I'd recommend staying still.
no subject
I'm not going to enjoy this, am I?
[And he's noting "for tonight", too.]
no subject

[Because uh yeah, he doesn't buy it]
Because you're too immature to understand the weight of your choices. Tell me, did you enjoy dismantling him? Burying him alive?
no subject
I did what I had to.
[He says it again, trying to get free now. But it's not working.]

The hold on him will get even stronger. Now, he won't be able to move his arms]
I never said I thought I'd get away with it. Unlike you, I accept my sins.
Answer the question, Connor. Did you enjoy it?
no subject
I don't owe you an answer!
[It's a scare tactic. It has to be. Orden wouldn't use his powers to kill Connor right now, right? So he just has to wait until he gets bored.]
no subject
That's a "yes" then, I take it.
So how are you a good person, exactly?
no subject
[He's going to stay stubborn on that.]
...I never said I was a good person. I said I wasn't a bad one.

Yeah, this robot is definitely twisted. That is his take away from this]
And what about Falco? Do you feel any remorse for getting him hurt? Or was that another instance of "you did what you had to"?
no subject
[Yes, there's remorse there. So much of it that he spent over a week away from home, frightened of hurting him again. But Falco had talked to him, and they were okay again now. So why is Orden bringing it up?]
