[Hank looks a little surprised, before he fumbles out the Pokemoney (god, still fuckin' weird) to pay for it. The sentiment behind it makes him grin somewhat. Not a big full force grin of amusement, that sort of shy smile that exposes just a little of his teeth and that expression of not knowing what to think that this would be what Connor wants. Either way he makes sure he has two copies.]
Alright. I guess we got a countdown.
[He points at the screen in the booth, giving them time to assume any positions.]
[He's never posed for a photo before, but he does it like a pro. He leans against Hank and just looks happy, holding his hand just out of view of the screen. It's one of those booths that takes several photos, and at the last one he casually runs his hand up Hank's thigh with a sneaky smile, hoping to capture whatever look crosses Hank's face when he does it. Maybe that won't be the photo he picks out as the one to keep, but he hopes it's amusing at least.]
[The first couple still have that shy smile. Then there's the one with his hand on Hank's thigh, and he has a startled face. For the last one, Hank manages to steal a kiss, pulling Connor by the back of the head into one, so even if that isn't the one they choose, they can see what they look like together.]
[When they're done, he comments-] Your Valentine's Day present is teasing me all day, isn't it? Pick your pictures, you human dickbag.
[He says it fondly, not about to let him off easy.... That's a lie, he's 100% letting him get away with it, at least for now.]
[Well, it's a step up from plastic asshole. Probably. He gives Hank a smirk and picks one of the first pictures, and then the one of Hank looking surprised. Because he really does need a copy of that face with him at all times.]
Maybe it is.
[Or maybe his present was getting photographic evidence of Hank being startled, complete with Connor smirking slightly beside him.]
I'm sure you'll get me back one day. But...
[He looks at the photos thoughtfully.]
Maybe we should get an actual camera. We can take as many photos as we like, then.
[Because if Connor wants to hold onto these memories, then it would be good for him to be able to. And it would be another nice sentiment.]
[He takes Connor's hand and leaves the store with their new pictures, including that shameful one of him being startled.]
I do know where one of the photography stores was. I was thinking of grabbing a camera for rescue work before, so I could take site pictures. Just ended up using my Pokegear though. But I saw some nice ones there.
[Connor walks with him to that store, with the photos safely tucked away. He takes his time picking a camera, but he ultimately goes for a rather nice one with good storage that takes crystal clear photos. He gets some batteries for it, and immediately snaps a photo of Hank as they leave again. Welcome to a new kind of hell, Hank.]
I want to remember everything.
[Because it occurs to him that if Hank disappears, these photos will be all he has left of him. The thought makes him lean into the other man, enjoying his warmth.]
Human memories are the worst, aren't they? I wish they worked better. [He'd love to dredge up good thoughts and be able to define them from the bad quite so easily as an android. Or what he assumes is simply; maybe it's harder.]
[He doesn't know what he's thinking, but he does put his arm around him, holding him to his side.]
You cold?
[He asks, because that's the first option of what could be wrong. He's happy to be a good heater, and he's not complaining at all.]
[He keeps Connor close, then, rubbing his arm as they walk.]
I didn't have any plans for me. Honestly I talked to someone recently about how you hadn't had a chance for many things of your own, so... I wanted to give you a chance today to know that I'm-
Okay, like, I know we had problems last night. But I wanted you to know that I'm happy to be a part of the life you're making for yourself.
[Connor smiles slightly, though thinking of Hank being unhappy again makes him sad.]
I'm happy you're a part of it, too.
[As they reach the door he fumbles with the keys, cold hands stiff, and for a moment he's oddly frustrated by it. Then he gets the door open, and pushes it out of his mind. Almost as soon as he's inside the Pokemon rush to greet them, and Connor snaps a photo of the happy bunch.]
[He would immediately feel bad if he knew that he'd made him sad, but as of the moment, he's glad to have given him some reassurances. The slight smile earns him another kiss on the temple, because he deserves it today.]
Say cheese. [He tells of them. Some of them make noises. None of them are pronounced 'Cheese.' But they all look happy to see Connor.]
[Connor sets the camera down on the table as he passes it, shedding his outdoor clothing and rubbing his hands together to warm them up. Odette follows him noisily, and hisses when Charlotte tries to follow too. Connor breaks that up with a well trained foot, nudging her away from the Ariados with a stern look.]
Enough of that. Both of you go and play with the others.
[At least they do what they're told when Connor gives them the stern voice.]
[After he sheds his coat he puts his hand on Connor's waist and starts pulling him towards him. Then takes his arm. And then pulls him over his shoulders in a full fireman's carry.]
[Tubbs has a giant chew bone the size of a person's leg, and he stops gnawing to watch Hank carry Connor by. But only just.]
Everyone out! [He warns as he's going into the bedroom. Just in case there are any hidey Floettes or Raichus.]
[Scout bounds out of the bedroom, but most of the Pokemon had been by the door. Connor makes a sound of surprise as he's picked up, clinging to Hank as best as he can as he's carried into the bedroom.
He could have walked. But this kind of sets the mood, doesn't it?]

[He doesn't want to ruin the moment with a negative thought, especially when it might never happen.]
Is there anything else you wanted to do while we're out?
