It was V's turn to hesitate. After everything that happened to ask for access to his network was giving Connor complete access to him. It was an awful lot to ask but V also recognized that Connor would (probably) never do anything to hurt him or use this against him...
"I, uh, it's not too much, it's." He was still perhaps a bit flustered from admitting he loved Connor, and perhaps a bit flustered from Connor returning the feeling. "I trust you. I.. I'd like that." He smiled slightly and, with his free hand, gently traced Connor's jaw. It may be that he was biding his time so that he could really come to terms with it.
It took V a moment but eventually his eyes lit up red and his gaze shifted into that unseeing look he got when he was paying attention to his system rather than Connor. It took a moment before Connor found himself with a direct connection to V - hopefully, what Connor was looking for - and V's eyes flickering back to their normal appearance. He pulled his free hand away from Connor as he squeezed Connor's hand gently.
Connor's LED blinks as he connects to the network he's given access to. And then, slowly, he starts to project his thoughts and feelings. He wants V to know what Connor feels when he looks at him. He wants V to see what he sees.
There's obvious love there, warm and comforting. There's some curiosity mixed in- what does V see in him, he wonders? There's fond memories, though if V goes any further into those he'll find it's carefully blocked off. He has negative feelings too, ones from when he'd hurt V and they'd fought for the month afterwards, and those aren't what he's trying to get across.
He squeezes that hand back, leans in to rest his forehead against V's, and closes his eyes with a smile. His hand begins to glow a soft blue at the palm.
V admittedly was a little nervous by this - he wasn't sure what to expect or what Connor was trying to do here. He could feel the thoughts and feelings that Connor was projecting and he almost instinctually closed his eyes so that he could focus on what Connor was showing him.
The warmth and love and comfort washed over him and he relaxed into this more. V admittedly tried to explore a little but found those carefully constructed walls. He had an idea that negativity might be hiding behind that but he couldn't know for sure. All he really was sure of was the truth of Connor's love for him and the fondness Connor had for him. There was something about this that was somehow more direct than even the Synchrony but perhaps that was just the fact that Connor could relay memories as well.
For V's part, it was much less structured - V's own systems were relatively all or nothing. The pieces of him that were core services were inaccessible but his memories and emotions were things that V couldn't necessarily cordon off. On the surface, V was just as warm, full of love, and adoration. V saw an intelligent man that he absolutely didn't deserve but was glad to have around. He was confused as to why the fuck Connor stayed and somewhere deeper down he was scared shitless that Connor was going to wake up from this folly and leave him but these fears were buried deep.
His memories he tried to keep to the side but Connor would find he would be able to dig through anything he wanted that he could find. Short of attacking the connection there was nothing V could do about it and V wouldn't try. V's trust for the other man was perhaps the clearest example of V's love for Connor.
Connor doesn't pry too deeply. He's content with the knowledge that V loves him back, that he trusts him. He won't dip into memories he doesn't need to, no matter how curious he may be, because if V wants him to know about it he'll tell him.
He can't stroke V's hair the way he wants to, so instead he offers up the suggestion, over the connection, that V sleep. Breaking the silence is the last thing he wants to do right now. He settles down into a position where he can go into standby mode after V has fallen asleep, keeping the connection active for now. Admittedly, he's curious as to what falling asleep feels like.
That Connor doesn't dig and doesn't pry only helps to let V give himself permission to relax. He was glad his trust wasn't misplaced.
The silence and stillness between the two of them after Connor settled into a more comfortable position really was the only reason V was open to the idea of sleeping. He was comfortable snuggled up with Connor like this. He was warm, he felt safe, and he was blanketed with love from multiple connections. He was already very relaxed.
He might have fought the urge to sleep a little but it was ultimately no use as he slid into unconsciousness. His grip on Connor's hand loosened but he didn't let go.

"Should be good now."
