[She knows… it’s hard not to feel hurt, when something you liked is turned against you. She’s not sure how to handle it, but it bothers her that there would be part of himself Connor wouldn’t be at ease with- and, well, thanks to all the insects (and presumably some magic, she’s guessing), there’s been a certain amount of growth happening.
So- a way to start is to make it a positive thing, surely. Sapphire taps her fingers against her glass, before reaching for the communicator.]
Connor? I have a thought- would you be willing to practice magic with me?
[That's the first part accomplished, and- well, it's good to have something in motion.
As to where…]
If you're willing to chance our new overly-friendly friends- there's an open space I've been trying out, on and off. Towards the outskirts, but- it shouldn't be too far. Tell me if that suits you.
I should be fine with them as long as they stay away from me.
[He's still not entirely comfortable with vines right now. Ones that stay still are fine, but living ones? No... he's not entirely sure he wants that.]
[He picks up more rocks, letting them float above where they'd been resting on the ground. After a while he gets bored of that though, and starts to clump them together. Turns out he can hold a lot, but it takes a lot of focus even for someone with a brain as advanced as his. Finally he sets the rocks back down, breathing out a little sigh of relief.]
[Flowers are fine. Vines, though... they still weird him out very slightly. So he's careful not to include those when he makes a cluster of flowers appear by their feet.]

Magic? Of course.
[He still uses the more earth-based magic he has at his disposal, just not the vines. So he just assumes she means he can practice using that.]
Where did you have in mind?

I'll meet you there soon, then?
no subject
[It's nice! Much better than other vines- she doesn't know what the ones in Amdapor Keep are thinking, but she's fine with that.]
You will. I'll see you shortly.
[She's just about prepared, so she heads out soon after the conversation, waiting for Connor, and ready to offer him a wave when he arrives.]

Hello, Sapphire.
[He looks around them, then back to her.]
So... where should we start?
[He's hardly in a rush, of course. But training can be done while talking.]
no subject
I thought, perhaps- we'd start with summoning up a small part of the essences we control, and playing with them from there.
no subject
[He smiles, pleased.]
Of course.
[As expected, the first thing he does is summon up earth. Specifcally, he draws the nearest rocks his way to hover in the air beside them.]
Like this, yes?
no subject
[Control is always important, after all. Shegestures, pulling up a small breeze- and eyes the rocks.]
I wonder- could I hold these long enough for you to step on them…?
no subject
[The rocks are small, so he summons some larger ones.]
Let me know when to drop them so you can hold them up yourself.

So... how did I do?
no subject
I'm impressed! It looks as though you've been practicing. Ah… if I might… [She hesitates, but-]. What about the rest of your abilities?
no subject
[He tilts his head.]
The plant side of things, yes?
[Flowers are fine. Vines, though... they still weird him out very slightly. So he's careful not to include those when he makes a cluster of flowers appear by their feet.]

[She stoops to pluck one of them, gently, and examines it.]
They've grown quite well. How big have you grown them?
no subject
[He focuses, and the flowers start to grow a little bigger, slowly but surely. They stop at a certain point though.]
I suppose this is about as big as these flowers can get naturally. I could try to push them past even that, but it'll probably take a lot of focus.
