Connor almost just keeps going- it would be easier to, for sure. Easier to just let himself come, to dig his nails harder into V's skin and ride it out. But he stops dead suddenly, despite all the protesting his hips are doing, and leans in to focus on V.

"I said, am I clear?" He's lucky that he can make it look more effortless than it really is. He even manages to keep his thighs from shaking, manages to keep his fists from balling up in self-inflicted frustration. There's no point taking control if you can't really play the part, right? So even if he's desperate to keep fucking V, he makes sure he has full control over himself in the moment.

"I want to hear you say it. That you'll beg for me whenever I ask you to." It makes Connor feel better about his enjoyment of this power over V, knowing that V likes it too. It's not one sided, and there's no real humiliation or degrading behaviour involved. He'd never ask V to do something he really didn't want to do. He hopes V knows it, too.
